The Legal Age To Drive Should Be Raised To 21

The legal age to drive has been a big issue that started many arguments and discussions around the word. It differs from many countries but in the UAE it starts from the age of 18. Many researchers have worked on this issue and emphasized that the legal age to drive should be raised to 21 to reduce accidents, avoid students being distracted, and reduce pollution.

Firstly, raising the legal age to 21 will reduce accidents all over the nation.  One of the biggest phenomenons in our society is the young drivers that never pay attention to traffic signs what distracts other drivers and raises the amount of danger in our roads. This is shown in the high speeds that they drive, paying attention to radars or speed limits. Based on their experience and researches, researchers said that statistics showed that teens caused most of the accidents last year in the country.

Secondly, rising the legal age to drive to 21 will help students focus on their studies and avoid being distracted. This will help them too much since students are obsessed with their cars. Many teens waste their time trying to fix and repair their cars beside the time they spend pimping their cars to get the perfect look that satisfies their desires. Back to the statistics part, many "A+" students have shown neglect after getting their licenses what proves the importance of raising the legal age to drive to 21.

Thirdly, rising the legal age to drive to 21 will palpably help reduce pollution. Most of the teens use their cars just to cruise the whole day paying no attention to the amount of carbon dioxide they produce. On the other hand, teens always use cheap gas which increases pollution. Based on this, many scientists emphasize that cars are one of the main reasons off pollution.
